This policy explains what information SpeakEnglishPro collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what your rights are. We collect only what we need to run your lessons.
1. Who we are
SpeakEnglishPro is an online English practice platform, available at speakenglishpro.com. For any question about your data, write to support@speakenglishpro.com.
2. Information we collect
• Account information: your name, email address, password (stored encrypted), native language, country and field of work.
• Your answers: the sentences you type and the voice recordings you make during speaking exercises.
• Your learning data: your scores, completed lessons, daily streak and number of credits.
• Subscription information: when you subscribe, Patreon tells us your name, email address and the plan you chose, so we can add your credits. We never receive your card details.
• Your messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
3. How we use your information
• to create and manage your account;
• to correct your answers and give you feedback in your native language;
• to save your progress, scores and credits;
• to send you important emails (email verification, password reset, messages about your account);
• to answer your questions and help you.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Voice recordings and AI
When you do a speaking exercise, your recording (maximum 10 seconds) is sent securely to the AI service we use, which analyzes it and returns your correction. Your typed answers are processed the same way. We never keep your voice recordings: we only save your score and progress.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run SpeakEnglishPro:
• an AI service provider — to correct your answers and create audio;
• Patreon — subscriptions and payments;
• our hosting provider — to host the website and send our emails.
These providers use your information only to provide their service to us. Some of them may be located outside your country, including in the United States. We may also share information if the law requires it.
6. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for the site to work, for example to keep you logged in and to make pages load faster. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your account and learning data as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your information within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep. Contact messages stay in our email inbox only as long as we need them to help you.
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
• see the information we have about you;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your account and your information;
• receive a copy of your information.
Write to support@speakenglishpro.com from the email address of your account. We will answer within 30 days.
9. Security
We protect your information with secure connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords and access limited to what is necessary. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Minimum age
SpeakEnglishPro is for people aged 16 and over. Users under 18 need the permission of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we make an important change, we will show it on the site or tell you by email. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
